"What, you mean you wanted your swimming suits inside this lovely organizing bin?"
The next two photos illustrate what I have to do in order to get dinner prepared (otherwise he wants me to play with him). I have two options: 
#2) open the fridge (or let him open it) and get out as many grapes as he wants. I get bonus minutes if I let him throw and smash the grapes. To be honest, he usually gets both the dishwasher and the fridge (I am a sucker, I know, but I kind of like being able to cook dinner).
Really child? You need to eat THREE plums at once? In order to achieve maximum juice drool on his shirt and the counter the answer is yes, yes he does.
So much for a freshly bathed, lotioned, and jammied (not really a word) baby ready for bed. Apparently some extra moisturizing was needed.
You'd think that having him actually STRAPPED to his father's body would prevent him from having access to things that would make messes. Nope, not him. A little wall plaster, anyone?
This is precisely the reason that I have banned J from tying flies in our house. Those feathers, fur patches, and thread bobbins are too much to resist.
Have I mentioned how much I love this little boy?
It's a lot. A whole lot. Messes and all.
For you baby boy, for you I'll clean up all the days of my life.

Oh the joys of a toddler!!!! It does get a little difficult while pregnant (all the bending starts getting uncomfortable) but I let alaura pull stuff out while I cook dinner too. Her favorite is to sit on the counter (next to me) with her feet in th sink and a cup to play in the water. My entire counter is flooded, but at least I don't have to bend over to clean it ;)
Oh you could have put Ethan in every one of these pictures. Its definately a messy age, but SO much fun! He just cracks me up!
What a cute little handful! Love the pics! Love the messes! But being a mommy makes it all worth it!
I think bright adorable little boys like to do this. John began a lot of building projects with blanket and furniture cushions, then he would supply them with household items. It usually only took a half day to clean up after him. I loved those days, it helped that he had L there to help him entertain himself and get him sugar and cheese when he was hungry. Then there were the kitchen adventures. I would make little concotions (sp) so he could make a little brew under supervision, but then they thought it was okay to do it on there own. Quite usually helps you predict these disaters. Boxes, they're safe and great for kids. Paint them, cut doors in them, use plenty of blankets and pillows, and let them play. Grow G, and wait for a playmate. You get to be the big brother, oh what fun...

these pictures crack me up... because I have similar ones of Mya... plums.. check... fridge open...check...disaster in the house...check....on the dishwasher...check... what did we do before we were mothers?
